It's been pretty crazy in the world lately.
Tragedies seem to be everywhere.
I'm not sure if it really IS more crazy, or if we're just hearing more about it because of our super-connected social media world. Either way, I went into overload for awhile.
Shootings in Dallas. Terrorist attacks in France. Bombs in Turkey. Brexit. The U.S. election…
I was posting prayers on my Facebook page, trying not to leave any country or situation out. But I couldn't keep up.
On top of it all, I read an article that said history was repeating itself, and we're basically heading for World War III and the end of the world…
Sounded pretty scary.
It's not the only article or post of its kind out there either.
Everything going on in the world seemed pretty scary. I could feel the anxiety levels rising in my body. I was getting a little freaked out, if I'm honest.
But then I remembered something that overcame it all.
I remembered hope.
I was listening to a speech, and the speaker was talking about hope. Suddenly, I could feel a tangible hope fill the room.
And I remembered…
No matter what is going on around me… God is always big, God is always good, God is always able.
This God can take anything and turn it for good.
This God who is the ‘God of hope' (Romans 15:13)
I can choose to look at the world around me…
and get really scared and overwhelmed.
Or I can remember…
No matter what is going on around me, God is always bigger, and therefore, hope always wins!
God's not in Heaven freaking out.
He doesn't focus on the problem. He focuses on the solution, because He knows He ALREADY has a solution for any problem that comes your way.
He has good plans for me and for you. Plans to ‘give you a future and a hope' (Jeremiah 29:11)
I believe there is always hope because…
God is always creative.
God is always powerful.
God is always good, big and able.
I believe NOTHING can come my way God and I can't overcome together.
And THAT gives me hope.
I am a CreativeWorldChanger. You are too!
