I've been thinking about this a LOT for the past 24 hours.

It started because someone on my facebook page said they wanted to do my upcoming course (Launch Your Calling) and couldn't afford it right now.
I totally get it. When I lived in Northern Ireland, I once confused a librarian when I decided not to reserve a book. It cost 20 pence (about 35 cents) to request the hold and I literally didn't have it. (She generously gave it to me herself.)
So I talked to the lady on my FB page and it turns out it would help if I created a payment plan. So I did. (You can see it here.)
What's interesting is she didn't even ask. I was willing. But what if she hadn't said anything and the seats sold out before she did?
This got me thinking about how I've seen God answer so many of my requests, even some crazy ones…
Like when I was living in the U.K. and applying for dual citizenship. I asked God if it could be sorted before I went on an overseas trip. It wasn't even a need. I just didn't want my husband Daniel and I to have to stand in two separate lines when we went through immigration. The world wouldn't have ended if it didn't happen. But the next day the letter approving my citizenship arrived! (way earlier than it was supposed to!)
Or like when I was in an airplane and they said the turbulence was going to go on for the rest of our trip (which was over an hour). I asked for the airwaves to be clear. Seconds later they were! They stayed that way until we started to land.
Or when I asked God if I could meet Sandi Krakowski someday. It seemed totally crazy at the time. Two days later she posted in our online coaching group about an in-person training event for us! Something she said she'd never done before. And God answered above and beyond (no surprise!), and I've been training with her in person every month this year!
Yes, I know not everything we ask God for happens. I know a lot of times it doesn't make sense why.
Here's what I DO know… we have a good God who loves us and wants to give us good gifts.
‘Which of you, if his sons asks for bread will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, know how to give give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him' (Matthew 7:9-11)
So here's what I've been thinking…
Is there anything I'm not asking God for that I could be?
I'm not saying He won't give it to you if you don't. Sometimes He answers it without us asking.
But sometimes He's waiting to hear us say what's on our hearts so we can both enjoy Him giving us good gifts.
What's on your heart you want to ask God for today?
Maybe like the lady on my Facebook page, you'll get what you asked for and maybe even more!
(and if like her, you're wanting to get started on your dreams and calling and are wanting practical help, you can find out more here. 40% OFF till May 31.)
Sometimes… all you have to do is ask.
